Mick Glenn, Creative Director at Ziba, to Speak at Western’s Design Lecture Series on Oct. 26

The Western Washington University Department of Design is hosting its annual Design Lecture Series, which invites design professionals from the disciplines of architecture, industrial design, and graphic design to present their professional work and background throughout the fall quarter.

The first speaker is Mick Glenn, Creative Director at Ziba in Portland, Oregon. The lecture (now updated from original time and date) will take place from 6-7 p.m. on Wednesday, Oct. 26 in Fraser Hall 102 on the WWU campus. All of the Design Lecture Series events are free and open to the public.

Glenn leads multidisciplinary teams to create brand experiences that transform brands and organizations from the inside out. His methodologies translate consumer/user insights into concepts that reinforce emotional connections with brands. Considering the entire ecosystem of a consumer journey, Glenn creates experiences that integrate multiple touch points across environments, communication, digital, products, services and events.

Glenn has led the creation of global experience platforms for Reebok, Adidas and Luxottica and development of brand activation concepts for Adidas World Cup, Beats Music, Carnival Cruiselines, New Seasons Market, Coca Cola and Reebok. He has led Ziba’s design and innovation workshops with MBA programs at Yale and Rotman Schools of Management.

Prior to joining Ziba, Glenn was the director of Global Store Design and Merchandising at Jurlique Skincare in New York and was a senior designer at Landini Associates, a brand and design consultancy in Sydney, Australia. Mick holds a bachelor’s degree in Design from the University of New South Wales and a bachelor’s degree in Business from the University of Technology in Sydney.
