'Libations With a Linguist' returns Feb. 2

The Department of Linguistics is pleased to announce it is resuming “Libations with a Linguist.” Faculty from Western’s Linguistics Department organize these community round-table discussions once a quarter.  These talks are free and open to the public of all ages.

Our next "Libations With a Linguist" event is scheduled for Thursday, Feb. 2from 6-8 p.m. at Ponderosa, located at 1225 Roeder Ave, Suite 101 in Bellingham.

Virginia Dawson, an assistant professor in Western’s Linguistics Department, will present “Did you really say that? What a linguist has to say about literal and non-literal meaning.”
