Jaime Forsyth Hired as Business Advisor at Western’s Kitsap County Small Business Development Center

Western Washington University’s Small Business Development Center (SBDC) in Kitsap County has hired Jaime Forsyth as its new Business Advisor.

Forsyth comes to the SBDC with an MBA in sustainable business and project management certification.  Skilled in strategic planning, fundraising, marketing and communications she has lived and worked in the U.S, Europe and Central Asia.  Most recently Forsyth served as the Major Gifts Officer and Foundation Executive Director for Kitsap Regional Library Foundation where she was responsible for the Library’s fundraising.

“We are excited to welcome Jaime to our team and especially grateful for our funding partners who have supported the addition of this program in Kitsap County.  The Washington Small Business Development Center (SBDC) is a network of more than 30 expert business advisors working in communities across the state to help entrepreneurs or small business owners start, grow or buy/sell a business. With this new Center and the hiring of Jaime, the SBDC at Western Washington University will be able to expand its reach and capacity to serve the small businesses located in Kitsap County,” said CJ Seitz, Director of the Small Business Development Centers at Western Washington University.

Jaime will continue to provide the SBDC services offered at the Poulsbo branch of Kitsap Regional Library as Kevin Hoult, the current advisor, transitions to other roles.

The SBDC at Western Washington University is part of the most comprehensive small business assistance network in the United States and its territories made up of over 1,000 SBDC programs. SBDC centers are hosted by leading universities, colleges, and state economic development agencies, and are funded in part through a partnership with the U.S. Small Business Administration.

The SBDC provides free, confidential advising, technical assistance, and research to business owners and managers in an effort to help businesses thrive.
