It's Autism and Neurodivergence Celebration Month!

Join the month-long celebration throughout April that celebrates our autistic and neurodivergent community

Autism and Neurodivergence Celebration Month is a month-long celebration throughout April that celebrates our autistic and neurodivergent community.

Autism and Neurodivergence Celebration Month combines Neurodiversity Celebration Week, originally recognized March 17 - March 23 during the winter quarter finals week, and Autism Acceptance Month, recognized throughout April, to celebrate the autistic and neurodivergent community at WWU.

This year’s theme is "Doing It Our Way!"

Throughout the month, the DAC and DOC, in collaboration with our partners the Institute for Critical Disability Studies and Counseling and Wellness Center and co-hosts Centers for Student Access, Community, and Intercultural Engagement, Merriman Financial Literacy Program, and Ershig Assistive Technology Resource Center, will have a variety of events and programs for students, faculty, staff, and community members including a Flag Raising and Reception, Supporting Neurodivergent Students in the Classroom faculty workshop, Neurodivergency and Budgeting Workshop, and Fidget Making Workshop.
