Whatcom County’s first full-time archaeologist protects cultural resources, cuts costs

Osiensky, once a consultant for the county, has more than 14 years of archaeological experience in the Salish Sea region. She earned a master’s in anthropology from Western Washington University, which culminated in a thesis on sourcing for fine-grained volcanic artifacts.
