The Pacific Northwest Economic Region's annual summit takes place in Edmonton

The Pacific Northwest Economic Region’s annual summit is taking place in Edmonton until July 23. The forum brings together public and private sector leaders from Canada and the United States to discuss shared challenges and opportunities in the Northwest. Laurie Trautman is the director of the Border Policy Research Institute at Western Washington University. She is co-chairing a session at the summit later today focused on the Canada-U.S. border.
