Former WWU athletic director steps back into role to lead golf program

Western Washington University’s golf program didn’t have to look too far for an interim director of its golf program this season. Steve Card, a familiar face, returns to the squad as the search for a permanent director continues.

Card is a member of the WWU Athletics and Golf Coaches Association of America Hall of Fame after leading the Vikings from 1993–2013. He was also the university’s Director of Athletics from 2013-23, where he established Western as one of the premier programs in NCAA Division II.
