Ancient Egypt focus of WWU planetarium show

"Stars of the Pharohs," a full-dome digital movie playing at the Western Washington University planetarium, shows temples and tombs of the ancient world and how ancient Egyptians used science and astronomical phenomena to tell time, create a calendar, and align buildings.

A public showing of "Stars of the Pharohs" is at 4 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 20, in the Dr. Leslie E. Spanel Planetarium, 313 Haggard Hall at WWU. Admission is $5, or $3 with any school's student ID.
