In memoriam: Carol Diers, 1933 - 2014

Carol Jean Diers passed away on Nov. 5, 2014, after a long struggle with a debilitating disease.

She was born on July 16, 1933, in Bellingham to Alice H. West Diers and William Donald Diers.

After obtaining her Ph.D. from the University of Washington, Carol taught psychology at Western Washington University. After retiring she moved to Southern Oregon and then to Post Falls, Idaho.

Carol was preceded in death by her husband, Herbert C. Taylor, Jr. She is survived by her sister, Sandra Diers, stepdaughter, Laura Taylor, stepson, Bud Taylor, a niece, three nephews and a foster daughter.

Carol was known for her deep affinity for animals and a life filled with many dog companions.

Pursuant to her request, there was no funeral.
