Group to discuss use of iPads in teaching at meeting Oct. 4

An informal panel of Western Washington University instructors who have used iPads to facilitate instruction, improve learning and enhance the profession of teaching will gather Thursday, Oct. 4, to discuss using the devices in classes.

The discussion, part of the Learning Technology Group series on campus, will take place from 4 to 5 p.m. in Miller Hall Room 056.

The group's monthly discussions are aimed at increasing the campus-wide understanding and use of technology as a teaching tool. All Western faculty, staff, and interested students are welcome to attend.

The group is an ongoing collaboration of Academic Technology and User Services, working with the Center for Instructional Innovation and Assessment to engage faculty in implementing and evaluating new technologies for teaching.
