Graduating design students to display their work June 13

Graduating seniors in the Western Washington University Department of Design will have their work displayed in a Senior Portfolio Showcase from 1 to 4 p.m. Friday, June 13, in the first- and second-floor lobbies of Academic Instructional Center West.

Each spring, graduating Bachelor of Fine Arts and Bachelor of Arts students display an accumulation of their work in interaction design, motion graphics, editorial layouts, branding, packaging, production and more. These 30 students have spent the past four years developing their design skills and now will be transitioning into the working world.

Prior to the show June 13, Karim Zariffa, a designer and art director out of Montreal, Canada, will deliver a guest lecture from noon to 1 p.m. Zariffa is a multidisciplinary designer whose unique work has been praised around the world.

The show and keynote are free and open to the public.
