Future teachers: Education Career Fair set for March 8

Mark your calendars for the Education Career Fair on Friday, March 8, from 11:00 a.m. -2:00 p.m. in the Viking Union Multi-Purpose Room (MPR). This in-person event welcomes attendees from across the entire WWU community, including students, alumni, and campus visitors. It's a fantastic opportunity to meet employers actively recruiting for opportunities in education sectors that include school districts, college/university/state agencies and private/charter schools.

Plan ahead by viewing the list of participating employers on the Student Preview Page in Handshake. While advanced registration through Handshake is encouraged, it's not mandatory. Register to stay updated on newly registered employers and gain valuable career fair preparation tips.

To ensure you're "Career Fair Ready," follow these three steps:

  1. Activate your student account on Handshake at wwu.joinhandshake.com.
  2. Register and review the list of employers visiting campus on the Student Preview Page.
  3. Prepare your resume, either for uploading onto your Handshake profile or to hand out to employers during the event.

Take advantage of the free resources provided by the Career Services Center and Handshake to help you prepare for in-person career fairs. Use your Handshake Account to schedule an appointment with a career counselor, sign up for workshops, or find answers to commonly asked questions about participation.

For any questions or additional information, reach out to the Career Services Center at 360-650-3240, visit Old Main 280, or send an email to careers@wwu.edu.
