From RSP: New Compliance Website and Human Subjects Materials

The Office of Research and Sponsored Programs has been working to improve our compliance materials and resources. The goal of these improvements is to provide the necessary protections for research participants, while improving our processes and reducing the burden on researchers.

First, we would like to introduce our new website, which is www.wwu.edu/compliance.

This website includes expanded content and resources to help researchers create and submit applications as well as maintain their current studies. We encourage all researchers to browse our new procedures manual to re-familiarize yourself with existing procedures and read our expanded content.

We are also introducing new forms and updated processes for open applications. The new forms include: 1) protocol application; 2) protocol modification; 3) status report form; 4) problem report. You can find these new forms on our Human Subjects Forms webpage. The processes for application submissions, extending your research, and closing your application have been updated as well. For a complete listing of the changes, the reasons behind them, and when they go into effect, please read our Compliance News page.

Feel free to contact me with any questions.
