Flags to be lowered in recognition of Peace Officers Memorial Day May 15

Gov. Inslee has directed that Washington state and United States flags at all state agency facilities be lowered to half-staff on Sunday, May 15, in recognition of the annual Peace Officers Memorial Day.

The Governor's Office has no objection to agencies lowering the flags at the close of business on Friday, May 13. Flags should remain at half-staff until close of business or sunset on May 15 or first thing Monday morning, May 16.

Other government entities, citizens and businesses are encouraged to join this recognition.
