Flags to be lowered April 15 in honor of Joseph T. Caron

Washington Gov. Christine Gregoire has directed that flags at all Washington state agency facilities be lowered to half-staff on Thursday, April 15, in memory of U. S. Army Specialist Joseph T. Caron, 21, of Tacoma, who died April 11 in Afghanistan of injuries he sustained when an improvised explosive device detonated near his vehicle.

Flags should remain at half-staff until close of business Thursday or first thing Friday morning, April 16.

Other government entities, citizens and businesses are encouraged to join this recognition.
