Flags to be at half staff June 29 in honor of U.S. Marine

Governor Christine Gregoire has directed that Washington state and United States flags at all state agency facilities be lowered to half-staff Tuesday, June 29, in memory of U. S. Marine Corps Cpl. Joshua R. Dumaw, 23, of Spokane Valley, who died June 22 while supporting combat operations in Nimruz Province in Afghanistan.

Flags should remain at half-staff until close of business Tuesday, or first thing Wednesday morning, June 30.

Other government entities, citizens and businesses are encouraged to join this recognition.
