Faculty and Staff: Help sought for December Commencement

On Saturday, Dec. 16, Western will host one of the most important events of the year – one that is highly anticipated by our students and their families – Commencement!

For December, we will be celebrating our Fall 2023 graduates and Summer 2023 graduates who did not participate in the June 2023 ceremony.  We expect around 600 students to join us for three ceremonies in one day – ceremonies starting at 10 a.m., 1 p.m., and 4 p.m.  This schedule allows students to bring their families and friends without the restriction of tickets.

If you need to reserve rental regalia or would like to participate in the hooding of graduate students, complete the form by Thursday, Nov. 9. 

STAFF:  If you are interested and available to be a warm, welcoming helper to our soon-to-be Western Alums and their guests, we invite you to join in the celebration of the students you’ve nurtured through their studies at Western by submitting this Dec 2023 Commencement Helper Sign Up form by Thursday, Nov. 30.  After you submit the form, we will confirm your participation via direct email communication to you.
