Dining to host trio of events in November

As we head into November, Dining at WWU is thrilled to announce an exciting lineup of culturally rich and community-focused events:

Diwali Lunch Celebration - Nov. 12

Join us with a vibrant Diwali-themed lunch! This special event will feature traditional dishes that celebrate the essence of this cherished festival. It’s a chance to indulge in flavors and colors inspired by the Diwali Cookbook by Nita Mehta. The celebration will take place at 11 a.m. in Viking Commons Food Hall!

Thankful Celebration - Nov. 19

Our Thankful Celebration invites the WWU community to gather in gratitude. Enjoy seasonal dishes and a festive ambiance that brings together the warmth of the season. We will also have games and give back activities to get involved in. Our Thankful celebration will take place at 11 a.m. in Viking Commons Food Hall!

Native American Lunch Station Takeover - Nov. 19

Rounding out our November events, we’ll host a Native American Lunch Station Takeover during our thankful celebration. This special showcases Indigenous culinary traditions with dishes inspired by the New Native Kitchen cookbook by Chef Freddie Bitsoie and James O. Fraioli which we will be raffling off! Our station takeover will take place in the Viking Commons Food Hall at 11 a.m.!

This November, make sure to bring your appetite and an open heart as we celebrate and learn from each other’s cultures. See you there!
