Classified and Professional Staff and Faculty are awarded 8 hours of Community Service time as part of accrued leave benefits. The WWU Community Service Center provides the Western Action for Volunteer Engagement and Service (WAVES) website, https://volunteer.wwu.edu/, where you can search for opportunities, register for community engagement hours, and track your experience. You'll find over 200 Agencies and almost 6,000 Needs across the community and even some on campus! 

Is your department looking for volunteers? Register as an Agency on WAVES to start posting Needs in your area. This website is available to all students, faculty, and staff with a WWU login.
