Community Engagement Fellows to co-host 'Putting Values into Action' Feb. 20 in Deming

Western's Community Engagement Fellows program will co-host  "Putting Values into Action" from 5:30-7:30 p.m. on Thursday, Feb. 20 at the Deming Public Library.

Putting Values into Action is an opportunity to practice articulating the values that motivate our work, and open ourselves to new avenues for manifesting those values in the world.

Organizers hope the event will attract a wide variety of participants, including those involved in faith communities, non-profit organizations, P-12 schools, higher education, tribal and non-tribal governments, and other community efforts.

The event will be an active social learning space following the Community Engagement Fellows model. This approach generates relationship-building and practical advice, and reveals opportunities for collaboration.

Co-hosting organizations include Whatcom County Libraries, University of Puget Sound, and Eastern Washington University.

In addition, visitors from around the country will join this event as part of a 3-day workshop to learn about the Community Engagement Fellows model. Take advantage of the opportunity to welcome these guests in our region!
