Celebrate Geography Awareness Week on Nov. 20 with pair of fun campus events

It's Geography Awareness Week, and the Spatial Institute and the WWU Libraries Map Collection are holding a celebration of maps on Wednesday, Nov. 20!

First, stop by for a reception from 1:30-2:00 p.m. in the library's Map Collection room (Wilson Libraries 290). Meet the WWU Spatial Institute and Map Collection teams, learn about campus resources for maps and GIS, and share snacks with fellow map enthusiasts.

Then, from 2:15-3:30 p.m., head to Haggard Hall 101 for a Humanitarian OpenStreetMap Mapathon! No experience necessary! Learn to create and contribute real crowd-sourced spatial data for global humanitarian aid projects.
