Bookstore hit by power outage; still open but there are some impacts

Due to a power outage in the Viking Union on Tuesday, Sept. 29, the AS Bookstore is currently experiencing technical difficulties with the registers. The Bookstore is still operating under normal hours with temporary register devices, however please expect a longer wait times during peak hours between 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Purchases can still be made with credit/debit cards, tap to pay, or student accounts. The Bookstore expects their system to be operating as normal by Monday, Oct. 5.

For refunds, at this time any credit/debit card transaction made in-store prior to Tuesday, Sept. 29 cannot be refunded with the temporary system; refunds for online orders or charge to student account can still be processed. Due to the issue, the deadline for refunds on textbooks has been extended to Friday, Oct. 9.
