Construction update on the Birnam Wood Moisture Mitigation Phase 2 project for the weeks of Aug. 1 and 8:

The waterproof membrane has been applied to the foundation walls and installation of new drainage lines and backfill has begun.

Construction Impacts:

  • Stacks 6 and 7 are closed
  • Parking lot is partially closed
  • Equipment noise and fumes expected

 

Current Projects:

Week of Aug. 1-8:

  • Insulate and cover in crawl space at Stack 7
  • Seal crawl space envelop at Stack 6
  • Install pipe drain lines at Stack 6 and Stack 7
  • Backfill at Stack 6 and Stack 7
  • Install French drains at Stack 6 and Stack 7
  • Finish grades at Stack 6 and Stack 7

Week of Aug. 8-14:

  • Seal crawl space envelop at Stack 7
  • Backfill at Stack 6 and Stack 7
  • Install French drains at Stack 6 and Stack 7
  • Finish grades at Stack 6 and Stack 7
  • install clean out covers
  • Install timber landings

 

Maintainence and Custodial Personnel:

Thank you again for your continued cooperation! When approaching the work area for cleaning, painting or other maintenance, use caution and be safe.! Wear a hard hat, communicate your presence with HB Hansen site superintendent, Jason Tyree, and ensure equipment operators acknowledge your location.
