Beyond Borders show looking for student art submissions

The Associated Students Productions Viking Union Gallery is calling for submissions to the 16th annual “Beyond Borders” gallery show.

The deadline for submissions is 5 p.m. on March 11. All currently enrolled undergraduate students in California, Idaho, Oregon, Alaska, Washington, and British Columbia are eligible to submit their work.

“’Beyond Borders’ is an exhibition presented by the Viking Union Gallery that is designed to showcase outstanding artwork created by fine art students in the western United States and Canada, in order to stimulate dialogue among new artists, their peers and the established art community,” said Allie Paul, Associated Students Productions Viking Union Gallery coordinator. “The title, ‘Beyond Borders,’ exemplifies our dedication to encourage communication across community, national, international and social borders. The title also serves to remind viewers and participants that art has the power to transcend all boundaries.”

Applications can be downloaded at http://gallery.as.wwu.edu. All media formats will be considered.
