Assistant director for Viking Outdoor Recreation candidate campus interviews set for Aug. 2, 6 and 7

The assistant director for Viking Outdoor Recreation search committee has concluded its review and evaluation of all applications and has selected three candidates to invite to campus for interviews on Aug. 2, 6 and 7.

There are many people on campus who care about the Outdoor Center, the Western Outdoor Orientation Trips (WOOT), and the experiences they offer to students, therefore the Student Engagement Department would like to invite any interested campus partners or students to open forums from 3:30-4:30 p.m. Friday, Tuesday, and Wednesday in Viking Union 462A.

The Assistant Director for Viking Outdoor Recreation leads all Student Engagement outdoor recreation programs including the Equipment Rental and Bike Shop, Excursions Program, Western Outdoor Orientation Trips (WOOT), etc. The Assistant Director is charged with developing, implementing, and assessing a comprehensive and diverse offering of outdoor programs, services, activities, and community experiences while balancing risk management considerations.

If you are interested, please email cindy.monger@wwu.edu and you’ll be added to the invites with additional details.
