BELLINGHAM – Annie Han and Daniel Mihalyo from the Seattle-based Lead Pencil Studio will present a lecture entitled “Non-Sign II and other Apertures” at 4 p.m. on Thursday, Oct.28 in the Old Main Theater on Western’s campus.

The lecture is free and open to the public.

Recipients of numerous awards, including a 2010 New York Prize Fellowship, Han and Mihalyo will discuss their innovative collaborations and their recent installation “Non-Sign II” for the Art in Architecture commission at the Blaine Peace Arch Port of Entry.

Lead Pencil Studio works in the area of site-specific installation through an equally balanced perspective of architecture and art.  Their large-scale investigations are principally concerned with spatial conditions in the built environment and the influence of architecture on human behavior.

This lecture is sponsored through the Seattle Office of the General Services Administration.  For more information, contact the GSA’s Ross Buffington at (253) 931-7085.
