April Board of Trustees Summary

Western Washington University’s Board of Trustees met on April 9-10.

On Thursday, April 9 the Board held a half-day work session with the President’s Cabinet. The group discussed a variety of strategic matters including enrollment growth, budget alignment, legislative strategy and long-range planning.

On Friday, April 10 the Board met again for its regular business meeting. The College of Business and Economics is celebrating it’s 50th year. The Women, Gender and Sexuality Studies Department is also celebrating its 50th anniversary. Board members engaged in presentations about the past, present and future of that college and department. As part of the Consent Agenda, the Board approved its minutes from their previous meeting and three public works construction contracts.

The next regular Board of Trustees meeting is scheduled for June 11-12 in Bellingham.
