The Western logos are provided in two primary ways: logos for use in printed publications and logos for use online.
Print logos
Do you need a logo for use in a Word document or for an envelope? How about for a flier or brochure? If you need the logo for anything that will be printed, go here to download a high-quality .eps or .tif version of the Western logo.
Online logos
Do you need a logo for use on the Web? Are you adding a logo to your WWU website or using it in your e-mail signature? If you need the logo for anything that will not be printed, go here to download Web-ready versions of the Western logo in .png format.
Usage guidelines
The Western logo consists of two elements—the type, which is the name of the university, and the graphic representation of Mount Baker and water. Whenever possible, use the logo in full color. Never change the color or font, screen black, add a shadow, add a symbol or stretch or rotate the logo. The version of the logo that features white mountain and lettering with Bay Blue waves is to be used only on a blue background. The dominant color on any page using that logo is to be Western Blue.
Who can use these logos?
These logos are intended for use only by official Western Washington University entities or others by permission.
Western Washington University asserts ownership over its name, marks, slogans, mascot, or any combination of these which refer to, or are associated with, Western. The Western marks cannot be used to imply or suggest endorsement of any product or service not provided by the university. The university logo, tagline, seal, athletics logo, and other marks are registered and protected by law. Individuals and organizations outside the university who wish to use any of the university marks for commercial purposes or for promotional activities must first obtain permission from either Western’s Office of Trademark Licensing or the Office of Communications and Marketing.
