“There are 29 other certified business advisors in my SBDC network that I can utilize as well…if somebody brings up a question that I can’t answer, I’m sure somebody in my network can. It’s a real strength to be able to offer that whole network,” she said.
Besides her experience as a certified business advisor for a number of SBDCs,
“Every SBDC advisor has to have experience in owning or managing a small business; it allows us to have encountered so many of the same issues that many of the businesses owners I have as clients have faced,” she said. “We’ve walked in their shoes, and we know how to help.”
“We are very pleased to once again be a part of the SBDC network. Jennifer is an excellent counselor and provides even more support from the College and the University for economic development in Whatcom County,” said Brian Burton, dean of the WWU College of Business and Economics. “Together with our programs and resources offered by the Center for Economic Vitality, the Center for Economic and Business Research, and the Center for Economic Education, Jennifer and the SBDC will play a vital role in promoting the region’s economic health.”
