WWU's David Feingold to Perform with Marrowstone's Fellowship Chamber Orchestra Aug. 1

BELLINGHAM David Feingold, the chair of the Department of Music at Western Washington University, will be a guest performer at the Marrowstone Fellowship Chamber Orchestra Concert at 7:30 p.m. on Saturday, Aug. 1, in the WWU Performing Arts Center (PAC) Concert Hall.

The evening’s program will include “Le Tombeau de Couperin” by Maurice Ravel; “Concierto de Aranjuez” by Joaquín Rodrigo, during which Feingold will be featured on guitar; and Felix Mendelssohn’s “Violin Concerto in E Minor, Op. 64” which will feature Brian Lewis, a professor from the University of Texas, on violin. 

Tickets for the concert are $16 for adults and $10 for students and seniors.  To purchase tickets, please call the WWU Box Office at (360) 650-6146 or visit their Web site at www.tickets.wwu.edu.  WWU Box Office hours are 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Saturday and one hour prior to the performance. 

Founded in 1943, the Marrowstone Music Festival has grown into the leading summer music program for young musicians in the Pacific Northwest.  Each summer, around 180 outstanding musicians aged 14 to 23 come from more than 20 states and several countries to study with Marrowstone’s nationally acclaimed faculty at Western Washington University
