BELLINGHAM - Western Washington University’s Center for Instructional Innovation (CII) will host its annual “Innovative Teaching Showcase Learning Event” from 1 to 3 p.m. Wednesday, June 3, in the Wilson Library Rotunda.
The theme of this year’s Showcase is “Faculty Learning Communities.” On June 3, community members are invited to meet the featured instructors, view videotaped interviews with those instructors and find out more about faculty learning communities at Western.
Each spring, CII publishes a new online edition of its “Innovative Teaching Showcase,” detailing innovative teaching practices of several WWU faculty members.
This showcase features the Faculty GUR Group, led by History’s Johann Neem and Geology’s Pete Stelling; the North Cascades and Olympic Science Partnership, led by George “Pinky” Nelson, director of Science Math & Technology Education; and the Multicultural Faculty Fellows Program at the Center for Educational Equity and Diversity in Woodring College, led by Elementary Education’s Kristen French.
