BELLINGHAM - Wendy Wilhelm, marketing professor at Western Washington University's College of Business and Economics, has been reappointed to the Board of Directors of the Marketing Educators' Association (MEA).
Wilhelm, who has served on the board as Northwest Region Director since 2005, was reelected to continue to serve through 2012.
As one of two Northwest Region Directors, Wilhelm will recruit colleagues, weigh in on business decisions and help plan the MEA's yearly conferences.
The MEA is an international organization devoted to advancing the practice and scholarship of marketing education. The association holds an annual conference featuring competitive papers and special sessions concerning marketing pedagogy and education.
"I have belonged to the MEA for over 10 years because the organization's emphasis on teaching reflects my own priorities at WWU," Wilhelm said. "I am honored to be elected to the Board and to serve with marketing colleagues from around the U.S. who also have a passion for teaching excellence and innovation."
