Campus announcements:

Be wary of e-mail scams: The distribution of economic stimulus checks has seen an associated rise in the efforts of scammers to pry sensitive information out of computer users. Officials are recommending that users be aware of scams asking for social security numbers and other personal information with the promise of helping secure stimulus checks, which are issued upon filing of 2007 tax returns. For questions, please contact Legal Services at ext. 3117.

Call for faculty participation in summer 2008 commencement: The summer commencement ceremony will be held at 10 a.m. Aug. 23. Departments are asked to submit names of participating faculty members no later than July 31 by sending an e-mail to Dolora Ferguson at dolora.ferguson@wwu.edu or by calling her at ext. 3701. Complete instructions will be sent to those attending.
