BELLINGHAM - The Bellingham Artificial Intelligence and Robotics Society (BAIRS) will host the 5th annual Bellingham Robot Festival from 10 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. on Saturday, May 17, at the American Museum of Radio and Electricity at 1312 Bay St. in Bellingham.
Admission to the event is free and people of all ages are welcome to either participate or just observe.
The festival will have four competitions - robot sumo, fast-track racing, line-following robots and a maze-solving contest. Each competition has a junior class, an adult class and a fun class for everybody, where robots must be assembled at the festival site.
Robots will be on display all day and festival-goers will get a chance to learn how to make their own robots from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Western Washington University's Robot Club will also have their new robot on display.
