BELLINGHAM – Six Western Washington University students were chosen to participate in its College of Business and Economics (CBE) Leadership Lunch event in Bellevue on April 12.
The lunch was sponsored by QBE North America.
The quarterly CBE Leadership Lunch Program recognizes students who have distinguished themselves through scholarship and leadership while in the college. Students are nominated by faculty in their respective departments.
The selected students included: Stephanie Cox (Operations Management and Management, Auburn), Zachary Halley (Finance, Auburn), Nana Le (Management Information Systems, Kirkland), Matthew Tygert (Accounting and Finance, Snohomish), Kendall Whitney (Master’s in Business Administration, Bellingham), Bethany Zeigler (Marketing and Management Information Systems, Danville, Ill.)
The students were joined at the lunch by six business leaders from QBE North America and three faculty members from the CBE.
Students met with the business leaders to discuss topics concerning organizational leadership and career development. The lunch provided an opportunity for the business professionals to contribute to the college’s educational mission through interactions with students and faculty.
The luncheon program is organized by the Center for Excellence in Management Education at the CBE. The Center for Excellence in Management Education provides a variety of programs designed to connect business and industry leaders with faculty and students to promote business and economics education.
