Using Julius Shulman’s photographic documentation of Modernist architecture in California during the mid-19th century as a point of departure, Garth Amundson’s fall 2011 390 Intermediate Photography students have explored space and architecture with a traditional 4x5-inch large-format view camera.

The images are on display in the lobby of the SMATE Building on campus through Oct. 24.
